Under the direction of Elon Musk, a new verification checkmark badge was launched two days ago to help Twitter users better identify government accounts, commercial companies, business partners, major media outlets, publishers and some public figures, but instead, the news turned into the newest source of chaos.
Just a few hours after the vanishing of the gray checkmark badge and Musk’s tweets saying that he “killed it” and that “the blue check will be the great leveler,” Twitter’s Head of Early Stage Products, Esther Crawford, clarified Musk’s tweets, saying the gray checkmark badge will still be part of the Twitter Blue launch, but they are focusing at first on government and business accounts.
Now that the gray checkmark badge is back from Twitter graveyard, will there be other changes to Twitter Blue in the future? Let’s wait and see what happens.
