It’s that time of year when website owners and content creators update the dates of their interesting content from the 2022 edition to the 2023 edition.
Many times, especially when looking for tech-related information, people tend to not read an “outdated” content.
That’s why website owners and content creators just update the date of their well-performing content without updating the content itself, to make it look like it’s “fresh” content.
Google’s Search Advocate, John Mueller, said on Twitter that the date should be updated only when the content has been significantly updated.
John also added that updating the date after tweaking the content isn’t a significant content update.
