Google’s Search Advocate, John Mueller, confirmed yesterday on Twitter that Google stopped using the old Google page speed algorithms from 2010 and 2018 and now only uses Core Web Vitals.
John said that “It’s all cwv now.” when questioned about the use of the old page speed algorithms.
With new and more advanced Google algorithms being implemented, it makes total sense that Google would not use the old ones.
